  1. That looks unusual. Just read the Wikipedia entry on this guy, so maybe not uncommon but certainly not seen him before.


    1. Yes, we mostly have them around here for a few weeks in the spring & fall during their migration. Very cute little warblers. We’ve seen them sporadically in parks around here, as well as in the trees; this one was nice enough to venture down closer to the ground while I had the camera out. Saw a bunch of them last week on Sandy Hook (national park about 16 miles north of here).
