I’m not sure this one was using the feeder, but I have two theories as to why we seem to be seeing more birds in that area: 1) the feeders bring some birds, so others that might not be interested in seed might see them and at least want to check out the area; 2) since we do get the usual suspects at the feeders, we tend to look out there more often & so have a better chance of seeing someone who stops in for a quick visit. Whatever the case, it’s been fun to watch. And just as I wrote that, I took another look outside & was rewarded with the sight of an immature Baltimore oriole on the suet. Sweet! I’ll have to post that one soon.
